We help support religious school events, but we don't stop at TBT youth...

We plan activities for parents during religious school, but we don't stop at TBT parents...

We host fun events for families...we do it all!

We are the Youth Engagement Committee and we work to engage youth, parents, and families. Each month we look for ways to get these three important demographics interested in coming to TBT (or staying, in the case of parents during religious school).

The Youth Engagement Committee has a long history and it has gone through many important transitions that inform what it is today. Over the last decade it has focused on teens, religious school, and adult learning. Today, there are many ways we support youth, parents, and families at TBT:

  • We plan parent-only activities for religious school parents to participate in while their kids are in religious school. Game days, walks to the French Bakery and cooking classes are just some of the ways that our parents can build community without the kids around.
  • We support Rabbi Molly and her team of educators in the religious school when they need extra assistance.
  • We plan family events that happen outside of religious school. These events are another chance for those families to build community while in a family unit.

Here are some recent and upcoming events from the Youth Engagement Committee:

  • February 10, 2024: Families wore pajamas, sang karaoke, got their faces painted, and enjoyed kid-friendly food at our PJ Havdalah family event
  • February 24, 2024: Later this month, we'll be hosting a parents-only cooking class while the kids are in religious school
  • March 9, 2024: Next month, we're planning a parents-only game day while the kids are in religious school
