Kabbalat Shabbat, Welcoming Shabbat

Start your weekend out right. Every Friday night, we welcome Shabbat with our TBT family, our clergy and many gifted musical guests. We focus on the teachings of our Torah, our sacred guidebook, and some unique rituals that help to heighten Shabbat, our day of rest. Please join us in-person or watch the livestream.

1st Friday of the Month

• Tot Shabbat, 5:30 - 6:30pm: Join our clergy and music director for a pizza dinner, followed by lively Shabbat songs and a story! Geared towards kids ages 0-5; older siblings welcome. Registration can be find on our calendar page.
• Shabbat Service, 7:00pm: Our standard Shabbat service brings warmth and depth to the worship experience with modern Jewish music, traditional melodies, and Middle Eastern rhythms.

2nd Friday of the Month

• "Throwback Shabbat" Service, 7:00pm: This Kabbalat Shabbat Service blends favorite “classic” TBT and camp melodies for a comforting and nostalgic Shabbat experience.

3rd Friday of the Month: Quarterly Rotation of Creative Shabbat Experiences

• “Behind the Scenes” Learner’s Minyan | 5:30pm Potluck Dinner & Conversation | 6:00pm Service. A hands-on prayer experience for people who are looking to understand the choreography and structure of our liturgy. While each service will focus on a specific section of the liturgy, every service will include Mi Shebeirach and Mourner’s Kaddish. 
• “Coffeehouse Jazz Shabbat” | 5:30pm Potluck Dinner | 6:00pm Service. An alternative prayer experience, focusing on a theme and bringing jazz to the forefront to feed your soul. 
• Family Shabbat with Shir Chadash (our new kids choir) | 5:30pm Potluck Dinner | 6:00pm Service. A 45-minute family-friendly service centered around lively melodies, a story, and connections to our liturgy. 

4th Friday of the Month: Quarterly Rotation of Community-Led Services

• Kol HaShabbat, 7:00pm: Led by Eran and talented congregant musicians, this service blends instruments and harmonies, inviting the community into a moving t’filah experience.
• BTY-Led Shabbat, 7:00pm: Kabbalat Shabbat service led by the talented teens of our B’nai Torah Youth (BTY). 
• Community-Led Shabbat, 7:00pm: Led by members of our community, this service offers a warm and participatory Shabbat experience. Together, we share in prayer, song, and reflection, each voice adding to the spirit of our communal t’filah. Want to participate? Read below!

Join us on Saturday mornings for music, reflection and celebration of our Torah. We follow our Shabbat morning services with unique Torah study focused on the intersection between our Jewish values and the modern world.
