The Mission of Sisterhood of Temple B’nai Torah is to build connections between the women of Sisterhood to each other and, in turn, the Temple, our community and the world-at-large, as part of Women of Reform Judaism. We achieve this goal by providing opportunities for spiritual, social and intellectual growth.

Why do you need Sisterhood?

You can be a part of cooperative programs with other groups, both within and outside our Temple community. We initiate and develop a variety of projects and events in which our members are interested. Sisterhood is the collective identity for the women in our congregation. It provides us with a collective presence and voice. As women of Sisterhood, we can do whatever our members feel would be valuable to them, their families, their congregation, and their community.

Sisterhood can be an outlet for your creative energy, talent and leadership abilities. it also gives each of its members a worldwide identity through our affiliation with Women of Reform Judaism. Sisterhood of Temple B’nai Torah stands with more than 600 other Sisterhoods with 100,000 members throughout the United States, Canada, and overseas.

Why does Sisterhood need you?

Sisterhood needs the support of all the women of our congregation. Obviously, no organization can exist without members or finances. From your membership dues come the funds to implement our programs, contribute to our Temple and support our Tikkun Olam and Tzedakah efforts in the local and world Jewish communities. From your participation, we all benefit from your friendship, energy and interests; your unique educational, religious and life experience enrich the collective membership.

Join us – we’ll be stronger when you are counted among us!

Sisterhood dues and fundraising activities help support our Temple, our local community and national programs through WRJ and other organizations.
