Teacher - Solomike Early Childhood Center

We are delighted to announce that SECC has officially started recruiting for teachers: both full time and part time positions!  For those of you who are interested or know someone who is interested, now is the time to apply!  We are looking forward to the next phase of our new school's opening. 

The Solomike Early Childhood Center (SECC) at Temple B’nai Torah is committed to excellence and prioritizing the education and development of our children. When you join SECC, you become part of a team dedicated to giving young children the best start to a successful future. Solomike Early Childhood Center is a Jewish, Reggio Emilia inspired school serving students 6 weeks to 6 years of age. We are looking for dynamic, passionate, and excited teachers for our brand-new teaching team.

Teacher - Shabbat Religious School

Our PreK - 7th grade students meet on Shabbat mornings from 9:30am - 12pm. Teachers and madrichim are expected to be on site from 9:00am - 12:00pm. Including preparation time, teachers typically work 4-5 hours a week. We are looking for teachers who:

  • Have a passion for Jewish life and learning
  • Love working with a diverse community of children
  • Find joy in helping kids find purpose and meaning in their Jewish identity formation
  • Love collaborating and thinking outside the box of traditional Jewish education

We are currently hiring for the following programs:

  • 1st - 2nd Grade
  • 3rd - 4th Grade
  • 5th Grade
  • 6th Grade
  • 7th Grade
  • Specialist Teachers*

*Special talents or interests are welcome! We are looking for teachers who can teach Jewish values and rituals through the lens of art, science, food, the outdoors, and more. Got an innovative idea? Let's talk about it!

We pay $28-$40/hr depending on experience. We also pay for class preparation time and professional development.

Teacher - Sunday Teen Program Classes

Our 8th - 12th grade students meet Sunday evenings from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Teachers are expected to be on site from 5:45pm - 8:00pm. Including prep time, teachers usually work 3-4 hours a week. We are looking for teachers who:

  • Have a passion for Jewish life and learning
  • Love working with a diverse community of teenagers
  • Find joy in helping teens find purpose and meaning in their Jewish identity formation
  • Love collaborating and thinking outside the box of traditional Jewish education

We are currently hiring for the following programs:

  • 8th - 9th Grade

We pay $28-$40/hr depending on experience. We also pay for class preparation time and professional development.
