Yom Kippur Spiritual Activities
Thursday, October 2, 2025 • 10 Tishrei 5786
1:00 PM - 2:45 PMTemple B'nai TorahYom Kippur afternoon is an opportunity to explore the meaning of atonement, faith, struggle, hope - the themes of this day. We do so with a choice of activities for the body, mind, and spirit.
Session 1
1:00 - 1:45
Sound Bath with Eran
Immerse yourself in a spiritual and rejuvenating sound bath experience. Blending the meditative power of sound with the reflective spirit found within Judaism, we will have the opportunity to enter a state of introspection and healing through listening and breathing.
Text Study with Rabbi Molly
Using ancient and contemporary texts, we will delve into the central themes of Yom Kippur together to explore how they shape our spiritual journey during the holiest day of the year.
Session 2
2:00 - 2:45
Park Walk with Andy
We will enjoy a beautiful stroll around the paths and trees of a local park. Folks are welcome to walk or drive to the park. We chose a very accessible path that is mostly suitable for individuals of nearly all abilities. If you're thinking about coming but have concerns about accessibility, please reach out. Location will be shared with anyone who RSVP'd the day prior.
Jewish Studio Process Session with Lis
Join Lis for a casual and creative session of discussion and introspection (and discussion about introspection!). We'll start with a text study that includes less traditional sources and reflect together on some of the spiritual work of the high holidays. Following that, we'll move into a quiet independent writing exercise with optional prompts. We'll wrap up with a chance for folks to optionally share some reflections.
High Holiday tickets for TBT members are free. If you’d like to attend in-person as a guest, please purchase your ticket using this link. Have questions or want to learn more? Please contact Temple B’nai Torah at contact@templebnaitorah.org.
