Join us for a special Shabbat weekend with musician Michelle Cox!

Enjoy the musical talents of guest artist-in-residence Michelle Cox, who will co-lead our Shabbat Morning Service with Rabbi Nemitoff at 10:30am on Saturday, February 17. 

Michelle will also be joining us for our Kabbalat Shabbat Service on Friday evening, February 16, at 6:30pm. 

About Michelle Cox

Michelle Cox is a multi-instrumentalist playing keyboard, rhythm guitar, mandolin, ukulele, and violin. She is also a classically trained vocalist and has her undergraduate degree in music. She served for several years as the music director for Kansas City’s oldest and largest Jewish congregation, The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah. She served as High Holiday soloist for the Unified Jewish Congregation of Baton Rouge, LA, and returned for their Chanukah celebration.

Today, Michelle performs as a guest artist-in-residence, as well as in both small & large ensemble experiences. She enjoys singing opera as well as jamming on classic rock & lives for musical improv. Michelle currently performs with several local Kansas City bands including cover bands for the Grateful Dead, classic rock, a Bob Seger tribute band, and a band which composes & records original music.
