Join Rabbi Molly for salon-style conversations about Jewish environmental ethics. Using essays from the book "The Sacred Earth: Jewish Perspectives on Our Planet," each gathering will focus on one essay and one specific Jewish lens. You can purchase the book online or borrow a copy from the Temple.

The sessions will focus on the following topics/essays:

January 23 -  A Jewish Environmental Theology
Using essay #4, "Humanity and the Earth" by Jeremy Benstein, PhD, as our guide

February 27 - Jewish Environmental Roots
Using essay #10, "Adam v'Teva" by Rabbi Nate DeGroot, as our guide

March 26 - Encountering the Divine in Nature
Using essay #16, "Awesome Heights" by Rabbi Eric L. Abbott, as our guide

April 30 - Sacred Time: A Talmudic Perspective
Using essay #22, "The Climate and the Calendar" by Rabbi Dvora E. Weisberg, PhD, as our guide

May 28 - Living with Jewish Environmental Ethics
Using essay #28, "Beyond Bal Tashchit" by Rabbi Mark Washofsky, PhD, as our guide
