Kiddush Lunch Discussion - Staying Curious in Conflict

Saturday, August 17, 2024 13 Av 5784

12:00 PM - 1:30 PMSocial Hall

This week we observe the holiday of Tisha B'av, a solemn day when we reflect on the destruction and pain experienced by the Jewish people throughout history. Nothing happens in isolation, and on this holiday, we are encouraged to think about how we can engage in conflict constructively to try and build a better future. Jewish tradition offers polyvocality as an antidote to polarization - which is as relevant today as when the Sages first recorded the Mishnah.

After our Shabbat morning service, stay for our kiddush lunch and join Lis Cardy and Rabbi Molly for a discussion about what constructive conflict is, why it’s important in Judaism and some strategies to consider.
