TBT Sisterhood is again preparing our project supporting Reproductive Justice and participation is open to all TBT members. We are thrilled to have received a microgrant from Women of Reform Judaism (WRJ) funding a second year of this project.

We will continue working in partnership with Cedar River Abortion Clinic. We are supporting patients receiving an abortion from this outstanding healthcare facility with a gift bag filled with essential and comforting items along with words of support.

The bags are filled with items such as maxi-pads, herbal tea, hot packs, cocoa, unscented lotion, nut-free snacks, pharmacy gift cards and a written note. The generous microgrant covers the cost of purchasing these items.

We will meet on Sunday, Nov. 17 at TBT to sew bags to be filled and distributed. We have a pattern available for those wishing to sew bags at home and bring them to TBT. Our goal is to make and fill 25 bags on that day. Please contact Robin Plotnik (rplotnik@gmail.com) for information and to volunteer.
