The High Holy Days can be a time of incredible spiritual growth and deep personal introspection. Yet, for many of us, the sheer breadth of these holidays might feel confusing or difficult to navigate.

Join Rabbis Sydney Danziger and Molly Weisel for a four-part hybrid series where we look at the meaning of the special liturgy of these Days of Awe. All are welcome as we discover new meaning in our ancient prayers.

You can attend in-person at TBT or online. For those joining online, a zoom link will be sent upon registration. Please indicate in the notes if you will be attending in-person or via zoom. Contact Rabbi Molly Weisel with questions.

Session topics:

  • Tuesday, September 6 at 6pm: Erev Rosh Hashanah - Announcing the New Year, why we change the Amidah, and Avinu Malkeinu
  • Tuesday, September 13 at 6pm: Rosh Hashanah - Un'taneh Tokef, the three Shofar services, and the Great Aleinu
  • Tuesday, September 20 at 6pm: Erev Yom Kippur - Kol Nidre, Vidui (Ashamnu & Al Cheit), and the S'lichot section (Sh'ma Koleinu, 13 Attributes of God, and Ki Anu Amecha)
  • Tuesday, September 27 at 6pm: Yom Kippur - Why we skip Aleinu, the Yizkor service, and why the prayers change during Neilah

Please indicate in the notes if you will be attending in-person or via zoom.
