6:00 PM - 8:00 PMTemple B'nai Torah LibraryAs the saying goes, nothing is certain but death and taxes. Yet, American society rarely acknowledges–let alone enables–conversation around the fact of our shared mortality. And so when the health of the people we love–our parents, perhaps, or our spouses–begins to decline, or when we are faced with the unexpected death of a friend or a family member, we find ourselves grappling not only with loss and grief, but also how to navigate this truth: we are all going to die.
If you have come face to face with mortality recently, or have actively been avoiding the topic, please challenge yourself to join us for this six-session exploration of mortality guided by Rabbi Dusty Klass. Together we will talk about why we don’t talk about this topic enough, name the emotions and experiences that have shaped our challenging feelings about death and dying, and imagine together how acknowledging and engaging with our mortality might change the way we experience our lives.
