10:00 AM - 12:00 PMTemple B'nai Torah LibraryFor many of us, work shapes a large portion of our life. Choosing a career, educating ourselves in order to succeed in that career, and then actually working in the field (or sometimes fields!) of our choice defines much of our adulthood. And while no career path looks exactly the same and some of us move in and out of full and part time work or take time off at various points, choosing retirement (or leaving our final work role, which doesn’t always feel like a choice!) marks a significant transition. The way we interact with the world changes; without an external schedule to adhere to, how might we spend our time? Without a job title to share, how do we define ourselves or describe ourselves to other people?
If you are in the two years of retirement, please join us! We will spend our six sessions together talking about our hopes (and concerns!) about life after work, sharing our own experiences, and learning from each other about what it might look like to thoughtfully navigate the gains and losses retirement brings.
