Temple B’nai Torah is a community dedicated to Lifelong Learning. We seek greater Jewish involvement that is built on experience, study, and active questioning. Jewish expression takes a variety of forms and we encourage each individual Jew to find their own unique connection with Jewish tradition. The same is true for our students. In our Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade program we help students to see the world through a Jewish lens and the relevance of Jewish teaching and values in their daily lives. We also offer ways for parents to participate in their child's education, both within the classroom setting and through Family Education. Our year is filled with special events that translate Jewish learning into opportunities for Jewish celebration and growth.
Our education program continues into 7th grade as our young people prepare for bar/bat mitzvah and the process of making their own Jewish choices. We are also committed to our teens continuing their Jewish education and experience through Livnot Chai (our community high school), Confirmation, participation in our youth groups: 5/6 Youth group (Itty BTY), 7/8 Junior Youth Group (JTY) for our 7-8 graders and B’nai Torah Youth (BTY) and NFTY (regional and national youth programs) for our 9-12 graders, and Jewish camping.
