Family Learning
Every Family, regardless of the look, traditional or non-traditional, can benefit from learning about what it means to be Jewish (not just religious school students). We can all enhance what we are doing in our homes and in our lives to live more productive and fulfilling Jewish lives.
Rabbi Eric Yoffie, the President of the URJ (formerly UAHC) made this suggestion for Jewish Family Learning in his sermon at the UAHC Biennial in Boston in December of 2001 for parents:
"Many of our synagogues offer family and parent education; Our purpose is to empower parents to reclaim their traditional role as Jewish mentors to their children.
