Who We Are : Becoming a Member
Membership Process

If you are considering becoming a member of Temple B'nai Torah, please complete the convenient request form online, or give the Temple a call at 425-603-9677 to request a membership information packet and to make an appointment with Steve Goldstein.

When you meet with Steve, our Temple Administrator, he'll answer any questions you may have as you complete the application form. If you're wondering how to get involved or how to jump-start the making of new friends in the Temple community just ask Steve. Kids are welcome!

Your Financial Responsibility as a Member of Temple B'nai Torah:

Temple B’nai Torah supports our members and our vision with your annual personal commitment.  We have never made “financial wealth” a basis for membership, participation, or recognition.  The pledge you make is always based on your individual situation. Our fundamental precept is one of democracy.  As a community, we rely on each other to make possible all the good works of the Temple family – the learning, the worship, the sharing.  Our Temple is here 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  When you need the pastoral support of our Rabbis or our Cantor, they are available for you.  When you have a simcha, we are here to celebrate with you; when sadness or tragedy strikes, we are here offering comfort and support.

Your Annual Membership Commitment provides support for our Rabbis and Cantor, our many spiritual, educational and  social programs, and the highest quality education for our children and adults.  Your membership pledge is your commitment in the future of the Jewish People.  Remember that there are many organizations that raise funds to support Judaism but only a synagogue raises Jews.  Please note Temple B'nai Torah's fiscal year is from July 1 to June 30.  Those joining after Yom Kippur will have their pledge prorated.

Three Pillars Fund Circle
It’s a fact of life: all synagogues rely on additional gifts to supplement membership pledges. Temple B'nai Torah depends upon this one annual initiative to meet our budget and we hope that all of our members who are able to give “above and beyond” financially to our community will do so. Making a contribution in honor of your child, friend, or teacher is a gift that has meaning and impact. Please speak to Steve Goldstein at the time you join, or at any point at which you would like to make an additional investment in the community. By doing so, you enable Temple B'nai Torah to effectively uphold the three "pillars" on which the world stands: Torah, Worship and Acts of Loving Kindness.
